The 35th Annual Gordon Scott Memorial Golf Scramble is Saturday, June 6th at the River Bend Golf Club in Argillite, Kentucky with registration beginning at 7:30am. Thank you for your generous support and participation in the past. We couldn’t do what we do without great community partners like yourself. You Can RSVP and Register a Team Now. A 4-person team is $300. Registration includes a coffee, donuts from Jolly Pirate, drinks throughout the day from Pepsi and lunch from Texas Roadhouse. Additionally, the winning team wins a total of 12-rounds of golf; there are four $50 prizes for “Closest to the Pin” on four different Par 3’s. We will also have an auction for a YMCA membership and we’ll have some other door prizes. Please return the completed form at your earliest convenience. You Can Sponsor a Hole Now. For $100, $250, $500 or $1,000 - You can have your company name, a quote or in Memory or in Honor of someone. You can also sponsor prizes. Just let us know what you’d like to do. “THE COMMUNITY IS A WINNER AT THIS GOLF SCRAMBLE” This year, funds raised from the Golf Scramble will go to support our free Preschool and Adult Education programs at the Mission. We have offered free preschool to our neighbors since 1985. Our little ones also get Music Education and a Christmas Party put on by Marathon’s TT&R Division. It’s really a spectacular program because of all the support we get.” Funds raised will also go to support our adult education and employment programs that help folks go from government assistance to a job. Over the last eight years, we have seen 34 earn their GED, 85 start college, 35 graduate college, 203 start jobs and 12 buy their own home. We get great support from the United Way of Northeast Ky, Regional Ky Works Program, the Kentucky Colonels Good Works Program, the City of Ashland, Boyd County Adult Education, ACTC, Morehead and the CEOC TRIO program. We offer many programs at no cost to our neighbors, so your contribution also supports our: - Basic Needs (Food, Cleaning, Hygiene, Diapers, Clothing, Underwear, Shoes, Furniture, Bedding) - Health Needs (Dental/Dentures, Eyeglasses/Exams, Hearing Aids, NARCAN, HIV/HepC Testing) - Education Needs (Preschool, Adult Education, Academic Advising, Financial Literacy, FAFSA) - Employment Needs (Interview Skills, Resume Prep, Digital Skills, Work Ethic Assessment) - Social Needs (Homemakers, Crafting, Bingo, Grief & Substance Use Disorder Support Groups) - Spiritual Needs (Ladies Bible Study, Men’s Group, Summer Camps) God Bless and hope to see you there!
